11,99€ incl. VAT.

Stomach ulcers are open wounds that form on the inside of the stomach. The most common symptom of a peptic ulcer is stomach pain. Peptic ulcers are mainly caused by two factors: a bacterial infection with Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) and prolonged use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is estimated that one in five people will develop an ulcer once in their lifetime. Every year, 1 in 2000 people worldwide develop an ulcer.

The Newfoundland Peptic Ulcer Test is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of H. pylori antigens in human stool specimens. The test uses antibodies specific for H. pylori antigens for the selective detection of H. pylori antigens in human stool samples.
